Clifton is bounded by I-64, N Ewing Ave, Brownsboro Road, and Mellwood Ave. The neighborhood was developed mostly between 1860 and 1910, back when Frankfort Ave was called the "Louisville and Lexington Toll Pike". Obviously, there's a lot of history here. It's seen a resurgence of development and renovation since the 1990s. Today, Clifton is one of several neighborhoods along Frankfort Ave., with a population of approximately 2,500 and many homes in the Victorian style.
